Arlene Schadel is Grant County's Economic Development Coordinator. Arlene's deep roots in our community,combined with her marketing skills and "people" skills will strongly enhance economic development efforts and promotion of area assets to potential new businesses. Arlene works under The Grant County Economic Development Coalition for Progress and under the direction of the Official Advisory Board, the Gila Economic Development Alliance. Gila EDA Roundtable, Friday May 18--8:00 AM

The next Gila EDA Roundtable will be held Friday, May 18th, 8:00AM at the Grant County Conference Center, Fort Bayard Room, with coffee,juice, and donuts! The guest speaker will be Julie Minicucci of the Silver City ACD and Tourism and Cissy McAndrew of the Green Chamber and Visitor's Center. They will be reporting on the marketing efforts being made to promote tourism in the community, as well as the most recent data gathered from visitors.

Angelou Economics presents Phase I of the Grant County Master Plan with the Grant County Market Assessment

Angelou Economics, INC located in Austin, Texas has been awarded the contract to write the Grant County Economic Development Master Plan. The initiative is being supported by an EDA grant awarded to Grant County. Phase I of the plan consisting of a Market Assessment has been completed after meeting with various focus groups and conducting numerous business interviews, as well as receiving great response from an on line survey for Grant County residents and another for Grant County businesses owners.
