Art and Culture
Walk along our historic downtown area and enjoy a latte, an Italian ice cream, and live music, or browse through the variety of shops and art galleries.
The Silver City–Grant County area offers an innovative art environment of Southwestern, Native American and modern art styles. Artists both famous and not-yet-discovered enjoy our community as a place to live, work and visit. Numerous brick buildings and Victorian-era homes in historic downtown Silver City have been transformed into galleries by local artists.
There are now more than 25 art galleries in Silver City, showing work by more than 100 artists. For more information, visit the Chamber of Commerce Quick Link to learn how you can enjoy the arts of Silver City.
